• History: Leah seemingly had an ideal childhood. Her parents were happily married, her father was a well-respected member of the Nox community due to his status as a preacher at St. Michael's church, and she got along well with her 5-years-younger sister Rachel. However, Rachel was a troubled child. She was always anxious and had a bizarre imaginary friend named "Mr. Hatty," who she described as a tall shadow man wearing a wide hat.
  
  One day, Rachel came home in tears after Leah's friend, Amir Karimi, told her about the rumored devils. In an attempt to calm her down, Leah took Rachel for a walk around the woods behind their house. She briefly lost sight of Rachel after spotting a bizarre animal that resembled something between a bear and a moose. Then, she heard the screams of a little girl. Chasing the sound deeper into the woods, the sound went quiet, and Leah found a trail of blood leading to an impossible creature: a bear with massive antlers, hand-like paws, and a reptilian tail. She ran back to her parents, frantically trying to tell them her sister was killed by a devil. Neither her parents nor the police believed her. The only one who did was Amir, who talked his mom into moving back to New York.
  
  Leah's only comfort was her younger friend Madeline, who helped her and her parents find a new place to stay in Hemera County. There, Leah barely made any friends aside from Madeline. She stewed in her grief and anger, until she finally decided to reach out beyond the confines of Iowa. She made a video about her experience, uploaded it to then-new online platform YouTube, and a few months later, discovered she wasn't alone. A younger teen named Joshua crossed paths with a devil that devastated his family, and he wanted to team up with Leah to get to the bottom of the devils.
  
  However, Leah soon realized how much of a liability Joshua was. He had no regard for either of their safeties, and proposed riskier and riskier methods for capturing devil footage. Leah decided to stick to managing the channel, and Joshua's friend Isaac was roped into being the channel's new face.
  
  In August 2008, Joshua stole classified documents from what he discovered to be an abandoned Nox County Police station. This was the straw that broke the camel's back. Leah tipped off his home Diane County's police force, hoping the threat of jail time would force him to clean up his act. Instead, he and his friend Isaac went on the run, leaving Leah to handle Red Dragon Project functionally on her own.
  
  A few months later, she received a text from Joshua that "something got Isaac," only to then be ghosted by him. Two days later, Isaac turned out to have survived, yet Joshua still couldn't be found.
