• History: Though Isaac's heritage is Latin American, he was adopted by white parents at 2 years old. Isaac always felt a level of disconnect from his politician father, stay at home mother, and their ideal of him. None of their expectations matched his own vision for his life. This resulted in him acting out frequently as a child, creating the persona of a class clown to gain attention.
  
  As Isaac entered his teenage years, his desire to be liked and anxiety brought on by his parents' expectations led to regular drug usage to ease his mind. He started with alcohol at age 14, then weed at 15, and lastly psychedelics at 18.
  
  He first became friends with Joshua in middle school, bonding with the troubled boy over their shared love of nu-metal. He and Joshua grew even closer as they both gained an interest in the paranormal, though Isaac's interest was surface-level compared to Joshua.
  
  Joshua ended up living with Isaac when the latter discovered the former had been living out of a car at 17 due to his intensely religious relatives' inability to handle his rebellious attitude.
  
  After graduating, Isaac faced another crisis when Joshua seemingly attempted suicide out of nowhere. With Joshua's then-girlfriend Madeline's help, they were able to pull Joshua back from his sudden breakdown. However, the fix turned out to merely be temporary.
  
  Shortly after this incident, Isaac met Joshua's new friend Leah, who had been drawing attention online from sharing her experiences with devils on YouTube. Due to his bright personality, Isaac became the new host for the Red Dragon Project when Leah and Joshua's conflicting personalities nearly ended it.
  
  Isaac's friendship with Joshua became strained as well as Joshua's revenge-fueled obsession with devils reached a new height. This came to a head when Joshua broke into the Nox County police station to steal records and ghost hunting equipment, leading to an arrest warrant with his name on it. Isaac, though blindsided by this action, decided to go on the run with Joshua to look after him.
  
  In order to make ends meet while continuing their research on devils, Isaac joined Joshua in taking calls from people who allegedly encountered devils. The overwhelming majority of these calls led the boys out into the woods or cornfields, where they would inevitably only find regular wildlife.
  
  One call in early 2009 drew the boys to a residential area, to a house Joshua found oddly familiar though he couldn't place why. As they explored the parameters of the house's oddly confusing architecture, Isaac became gripped with a new level of dread. Joshua was even more dismissive of his anxiety than usual, which led to an argument so explosive that Joshua, for the first time, hit Isaac. This pushed Isaac, for the first time, to bail on his friend. As he drove away, Isaac nearly ran over someone who seemingly appeared out of thin air. Isaac attempted to pull over to calm down, but the person - the thing - came back. It attacked Isaac on the side of the road, but suddenly stopped before killing him. Though bleeding out, Isaac persisted in an effort to find either help or home.
  
  He found one of those things upon a chance meeting with retired cop Jessie Simmons. A chance meeting that gave both of them a new lease on life.

  • Despite his anxiety, Isaac is firmly an extrovert and easily gets along with new people.
  • He's trying to learn electric guitar because the loudness of the instrument drowns his worries out.
  • He doesn't read many traditional novels, but he does enjoy action manga and anime, especially gritty 80s/90s OVAs.
  • He still mainly listens to metal, but he's moved on to prog bands like TOOL, Dream Theater, and Mastodon.
