- History: Cairyx first arrived on Earth in 1838 following the development of electric motors in the US. He selected America as his preferred hunting ground due to the population density.
Cairyx had few plans as he roamed across the eastern part of the country. This changed when he discovered a creature he had never seen before in Iowa. It was massive, standing at 10ft tall, and resembled neither a man nor an animal. Best of all, the being was intelligent and capable of speaking with Cairyx. He introduced himself as Luce, and detailed grand plans for using America's ever-increasing military might to trigger a world-ending catastrophe. Cairyx never fully understood why Luce wanted this, nor did he care to. All he knew was that the demon could supply a lifetime of delicious suffering.
Despite Luce's callous personality, Cairyx found following the alleged Prince of Hell a deeply entertaining experience. Though lacking Cairyx's ravenous sadism, Cairyx was correct in identifying how brutal Luce could be. However, Cairyx grew bored as Luce fixated on the idea of an antichrist. He was further bored by Luce's string of failures at mimicking his own kind's shapeshifting abilities within the devils. Then, Cairyx had an idea. An idea that would satisfy Luce's pursuit of humanoid devils, and Cairyx's craving for more pain.
Cairyx found one of his own who was also starved for pain, and lured them away under the promise of showing them a land of endless torture and suffering. It wasn't a complete lie, as the crimson pocket dimension was full of lost souls and an imprisoned, despair-filled angel. They weren't expecting to become a part of the suffering.
Cairyx pushed them into a pit of hellfire. It took hours for their body to fully disintegrate into the flames, finally ceasing their body's attempts to regenerate. Luce followed Cairyx's example, submerging his failed creations in the fire until he got the results he wanted.
Cairyx, as well as some of his siblings under the threat of also being thrown in the fires, scattered the new creations across southeastern Iowa. A particular favorite replacement of his was the replacing of Joshua Atkin. Marilyn held onto life the longest, proving to be a especially satisfying meal for the alien.
Cairyx was all the more excited when he and Luce realized Joshua was best suited to fulfill the antichrist role.
